Allowing Email from Entire Companies (Domains)You may need to add a large number of people to your Address Book (all the
people in your company, for example) in order to receive email from them.
Although you could add each sender individually to your Web Mail Address Book, that would be tedious. Instead, you can add an entire Company (Domain) to your Address Book. This
method allows anyone within that company to send you email normally. For
example, if all of your co-workers' email addresses end with the domain yourorganization.net,
you can add yourorganization.net to your Address Book. Anyone whose
email address ends with yourorganization.net will then be able to send
you email. Adding a Company (Domain) is also useful if you want to ensure that email
messages from online stores, financial institutions, and other organizations
you do business with do not end up in your Suspect Email folder. Note that anyone within a Company (Domain) subdomain will also be able to send
you email. For example, if you add yourorganization.net to your Address
Book, you will also receive email from addresses ending with orders.yourorganization.net and corp.yourorganization.net. To receive email only from a specific
subdomain, include the subdomain when you add the Company (Domain) to your
Address Book (e.g., corp.yourorganization.net). To add a Company (Domain) to your Address Book:
- Click the Address Book link in the left pane, below your Inbox and other mail folders.
- Click the Add pull-down menu at the top of the page and choose Companies (Domains).
- Type the Company (Domain) in the text field (e.g., amazon.com).
- Click Allow This Company (Domain). The domain will be allowed.
To remove a Company (Domain):
- Open your Address Book.
- Click the Companies (Domains) link next at the top-right of the page.
- Click the check box next to each Company (Domain) you wish to remove.
- Click the Delete button.
Note: If you put an email address in your Address Book, you will receive
messages from that address even if the domain is on your Blocked Sender List.
On the other hand, if you put an email address on your Blocked Sender List, you
will not receive email from that address even if you have added the
company or domain to your Address Book. Return to spam Controls and spaminator Help |
