Introduction to spam Controls and spaminator

PeoplePC spam Controls offer basic protection against junk email, also known as "spam." spam Controls filter email before it reaches your Inbox and screens out spam automatically. For extra protection, you can upgrade to spaminator, which adds an extra layer of protection that keeps your Inbox virtually spam-free.

What is spam? It's the common term for unsolicited commercial email -- the Internet version of junk mail. In addition to being unsolicited and annoying, spam emails often include advertisements for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, or quasi-legal services.

spammers harvest and collect email addresses from Web sites, newsgroup postings, and chat rooms. But you can end up on a list without exposing your address at all. Some spammers guess your email address by taking a common username (like bob@) and adding valid domains to it.

Replying to a spammer and asking to be removed from the mailing list is almost always futile. Replying only confirms that your address is valid, and you'll probably get even more spam.
